These Terms of Service govern the use of this website and the community services offered by ASOCIACION JUANITA, a community association with its charter hall at 6864 W Bamburgh Way, West Valley City - 84128-7234, United States (US). By visiting this site, enrolling a household, requesting a service, or otherwise taking part in the work of the association, you agree to these terms. The association is the developer of this website and the keeper of the minute book to which these terms refer. Please read them carefully before you rely on anything you find here.
By using this website or taking part in any service offered by ASOCIACION JUANITA, you confirm that you have read these Terms of Service, that you understand them, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website and do not request a service. These terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information, and with any written rule that our roll adopts at a meeting and records in the minute book.
ASOCIACION JUANITA is a community association that gathers neighbors at its charter hall at 6864 W Bamburgh Way, West Valley City - 84128-7234, United States (US). We keep an open minute book, we call the roll before every decision, and we offer a short list of services to the households that join us. The association is not a government office, it is not a law firm, and it is not a church. It is a voluntary body of neighbors, and every statement in these terms should be read in that light. Nothing on this website is an offer to provide professional services of any regulated kind.
Enrollment is open to any household that can reach our hall and that wishes to help look after this neighborhood. By enrolling, a household confirms that the information it provides is accurate, that it has the authority to speak for the people named on the form, and that it will tell us promptly if that information changes. Enrollment is free of charge. A household may pause or end its enrollment at any time by telling our desk, and we will remove the contact details from our active list while preserving only the anonymous record that the household once took part. We reserve the right to decline or to withdraw an enrollment where a household misuses the association, threatens a neighbor or a volunteer, or acts contrary to the purpose of the association, and we will record such a decision in the ordinary way.
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm the association or any neighbor. In particular, you agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or to any record we keep, not to introduce malicious code, not to use automated means to scrape or to overload the site, not to impersonate another person, and not to use our contact form to send unlawful, threatening, or deceptive content. We may restrict access to the site where we believe such misuse is occurring, and we may take any further step that the law permits.
Most people who visit our pages are simply neighbors looking for a phone number or a meeting time, and for them the expectations are light. Read what we publish in good faith, use the contact form to reach the desk, and do not treat the site as a place to press a grievance against another household in public. A disagreement that matters is best brought to a meeting where it can be discussed with respect and recorded properly. The website exists to inform and to invite, not to serve as a bulletin board for disputes.
If you discover a problem with the site, whether a broken page, information that is out of date, or a technical weakness, we ask that you tell our desk rather than exploit it. We will thank you for the report and correct the matter as quickly as a volunteer can. Cooperation of this kind is worth more to a small association than any technical safeguard, and it is one more way that neighbors look after one another.
Our hall is a shared room, and it works only when every person in it is treated with respect. When you attend a meeting or take part in an event, you agree to speak without insulting another person, to listen when it is another person turn to speak, to abide by the outcome of a vote even when you disagree with it, and to keep the business of the association in good faith. The chair may call a speaker to order, and the gavel may close a discussion that has become harmful. Repeated disruption may lead to a suspension from meetings, and any such decision is written into the minutes so that it remains open to review.
ASOCIACION JUANITA offers six community services: Membership Enrollment, Community Event Coordination, Family Support Referrals, Youth Program Support, Senior Assistance Hours, and Neighborhood Fund Drives. These services are provided by volunteers and are limited in scope. They are intended to strengthen a neighborhood, and they are not a substitute for emergency services, medical care, legal representation, financial advice, or any other professional service. If you are in danger or in an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service directly rather than relying on our desk, which is not staffed at all hours.
Every service we offer is carried out by neighbors who volunteer their own time without payment. We ask our volunteers to act with care and good faith, and we support them as best we can, but we cannot promise that a service will always be available at a particular moment or that it will meet every expectation. A volunteer may be unavailable because of work, illness, or family duty, and a service may be delayed for that reason. By requesting a service, you accept that it is offered on a best effort basis and that the association does not guarantee a particular result.
We also ask that you treat our volunteers with the same patience you would want for your own family. A driver who gives up an afternoon to carry a neighbor to a clinic, or a member who spends an evening clearing a walkway before a storm, deserves thanks rather than a complaint when a schedule shifts. If a service falls short of what you hoped, tell the desk plainly and we will try to do better next time, because the whole method of a volunteer association depends on good will flowing in both directions and on the willingness of everyone involved to assume the best of one another until there is a real reason not to.
Where our Family Support Referrals service connects a household with an outside organization, we do so as a courtesy and as a bridge. We do not control those organizations, we do not supervise their work, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of what they provide. The relationship that follows a referral is between the household and the outside organization, and it is governed by that organization own terms and privacy practices. We ask only for the consent needed to make the introduction, and we make no representation about the advice or the services that the outside organization may offer.
When the association opens a Neighborhood Fund Drive, it states the exact purpose of the drive on the agenda sheet and records every contribution and every disbursement in the minute book, which is read aloud at the following meeting. By contributing, you agree that your gift is made to support the stated purpose, that the association will account for it transparently, and that, once disbursed to the stated purpose, it may not be recoverable. We do not offer tax advice, and we make no representation about whether a contribution is deductible in your circumstances. If you have a question about a drive before or after giving, please contact the desk.
The text, layout, and design of this website belong to ASOCIACION JUANITA unless we state otherwise. You may read, print, and share our pages for personal and noncommercial purposes, and you may quote a short passage with an attribution to the association. You may not copy our content wholesale, republish it as your own, or use it for a commercial purpose without our written permission. The name ASOCIACION JUANITA and any mark we adopt belong to the association, and nothing in these terms grants you a license to use them in a way that suggests a connection with us that does not exist.
When you send a message through our contact form, you grant the association permission to read it and to use its contents for the purpose of responding to you and of carrying out the work it requests. You confirm that you have the right to send the content you provide and that it does not violate the rights of any other person. We are not obliged to act on every message, and we may decline a request that falls outside our purpose or that asks us to do something we cannot lawfully or safely do. We will treat your message with the confidentiality described in our Privacy Policy.
Our handling of personal information is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. One point deserves emphasis here. The minute book of the association is a permanent and public record of its decisions, and a vote, a motion, or a decision may be written into it and read aloud at a meeting. By taking part in a meeting, you understand that the proceedings may be recorded in this way. We take care to keep private and sensitive circumstances out of the shared book, and we maintain a separate private record for any matter that calls for discretion.
This website and the services described on it are provided as they are and as they are available. While we work to keep our information accurate and our pages reliable, we make no warranty that the site will be free of errors, that it will be uninterrupted, or that any information on it is complete or current. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. A referral to an outside organization does not constitute an endorsement of that organization professional competence. You should rely on a qualified professional for any matter that requires professional judgment.
To the fullest extent that the law allows, ASOCIACION JUANITA, its officers, and its volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of this website or of our services, including any loss of data, loss of opportunity, or reliance on information found here. Because our services are offered by unpaid volunteers, our total liability for any claim relating to a service shall not exceed the amount, if any, that you paid directly to the association for that service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, and where such a rule applies, this section shall be read in the manner that the law requires while preserving its intent.
You agree to hold harmless ASOCIACION JUANITA, its officers, and its volunteers against any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal costs, that arises from your misuse of this website, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the rights of another person. This obligation survives the end of your enrollment and the end of your use of the website. We will notify you of any such claim and will reasonably cooperate with you in responding to it, but we reserve the right to take part in our own defense through counsel of our choosing.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah in the United States, without regard to principles that would require the application of the law of another place. Any dispute that cannot be settled by a conversation at our desk shall first be brought to a meeting of the association, where the matter will be discussed openly and a decision recorded in the minutes. If a dispute still cannot be resolved, the parties agree to submit it to a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Utah, unless the law requires otherwise. Nothing in this section prevents a party from seeking relief that the law makes available on an urgent basis.
We may revise these terms from time to time so that they continue to reflect the work of the association and the requirements of the law. When we make a material change, we will post the revised terms on this page and update the effective date at the top. Where the change affects our neighbors directly, we will mention it at a meeting and note it on the agenda sheet. Continued use of the website or of our services after a change means that you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept a change, you may end your enrollment by telling our desk.
You may end your enrollment at any time by notifying our desk, and we will remove your contact details from our active list. We may suspend or end an enrollment where a household misuses the association, harms a neighbor or a volunteer, or acts in a way that defeats the purpose for which the association exists. Where we take such a step, we will record the reason in the ordinary manner of our minutes, and we will communicate the decision to the household concerned. Ending an enrollment does not remove the record of decisions already made, and it does not remove the permanent entry that the minute book keeps of past participation.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part shall be limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary and the remaining parts shall continue in full force. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the association regarding this website and these services. A failure by the association to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it on another. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent. A heading used in this document is for convenience only and does not affect the meaning of the provision it introduces. Where these terms refer to a household, that reference includes the people who live at one address and who have chosen to take part in the association.
If you have any question about these terms, please reach the hall desk of ASOCIACION JUANITA. Our postal address is 6864 W Bamburgh Way, West Valley City - 84128-7234, United States (US). Our email address is info@juanitaassoc.mom and our telephone number is +18304155159. A volunteer reads every message, and any matter that requires a decision is brought to the next meeting and recorded in the minutes so that the outcome is transparent to the whole roll. Thank you for helping us keep this neighborhood a place where the minutes are kept and every family is heard.
